Responsibilities
The role involves designing, programming, and updating PLC control logic using platforms such as Allen Bradley (Rockwell), Siemens, and Mitsubishi
Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing PLC based systems as well as associated electrical and electronic components
Electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control panel layouts must be accurately interpreted to support effective troubleshooting and system improvements
The position works closely with engineering and maintenance teams to enhance automation performance and reliability
Tasks include conducting system testing and validation, documenting control logic, and maintaining up?to?date backups of all PLC software and related documentation
Support is also provided during the installation and commissioning of new machinery and control systems
All automation activities must be performed in adherence to established safety and quality standards
Qualification
Required
Associate's degree or technical certification in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, or related field (Bachelor's preferred)
3+ years of experience in PLC programming and troubleshooting in an industrial environment
Proficiency with HMI/SCADA systems and industrial communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus, etc.)
Strong understanding of electrical systems, sensors, actuators, and motor controls
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Willingness to work flexible hours or shifts as needed
Preferred
Experience with robotics integration or motion control systems
Familiarity with safety PLCs and machine safety standards (e.g., ISO 13849, ANSI B11)
Knowledge of data acquisition and industrial networking
