Responsibilities
Post and manage content across Newsweek’s social media channels (Facebook, Twitter/X, Instagram, TikTok, Bluesky, Threads, WhatsApp, Reddit and LinkedIn)
Monitor comments and trends; respond appropriately to foster community interaction
Collaborate with editors to amplify breaking news and trending stories during weekend hours
Track performance of weekend content and provide insights to the social media team
Ensure all posts reflect Newsweek’s voice, editorial standards, and visual identity
Communicate with editorial and digital teams to align social strategy with newsroom priorities
Qualification
Required
Prior experience managing social media accounts for a brand, publication, or organization
Strong understanding of social platforms, trends, and best practices
Ability to work independently and make quick editorial judgments
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
Weekend availability is required
While this is a remote position, the candidate must be US-based
