Responsibilities
As an Electrical Drafter Intern, you will be fully immersed in the Electrical & Controls Engineering team
You will learn to translate engineering concepts into technical reality by creating one-line diagrams, schematics, and plan drawings
We will teach you how to interpret complex electrical symbology, properly set up drawings using 2D/3D x-refs, and execute redline revisions
You will also have the opportunity to develop 3D modeling skills, learning to integrate electrical components—such as panels, conduits, and cable trays—into overall multi-discipline project models
Qualification
Required
Able to work independently as well as part of a team
Effective verbal and written communication skills with both clients and project team members, with a strong customer service attitude
Strong analytical skills and good attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies
Strong organizational skills for maintaining project files and information received from clients and vendors
Basic understanding of task hour estimating and being accountable for personal hour budgets
Must be able to meet deadlines and put in the time needed to get the job done
Currently enrolled in a CAD drafting/design program at a technical college, with a focus and/or interest in the electrical discipline
0-2 years of relevant intern experience is a plus
