ECCO Select is seeking a highly skilled Wireless Engineer to support a fast-paced, enterprise environment by performing advanced wireless packet capture, troubleshooting, and wireless network optimization activities. The role focuses on diagnosing and resolving MAC-layer performance issues while ensuring secure, reliable connectivity across a complex wireless infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Utilize Cisco wireless packet capture tools to perform on-demand access point, client, and SSID-level captures
Troubleshoot and resolve MAC-layer, authentication, and client connectivity issues
Analyze and diagnose MAC-layer performance degradation using metrics including:
CCA busy percentage
Channel utilization
Transmit retries
MCS distribution
Airtime fairness
Optimize wireless network efficiency using best practices and innovative solutions
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless wireless network operations
Document and maintain detailed records of configurations, issues, and resolutions

Qualification

Required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
5+ years of hands-on experience with Cisco wireless packet capture tools
Strong understanding of wireless networking protocols and standards
Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred

CCNP Wireless (or equivalent certification)
Experience supporting wireless environments within enterprise healthcare settings
Experience with wireless network design and implementation
Familiarity with network management and monitoring tools
