Responsibilities
Provides Tier I software support for systems used by the Office of Work Program and Budget (OWPB)
Works primarily within the Work Program & Budget Systems Support unit, handling technical assistance, automated report generation, and coordination with the Office of Information Systems for system enhancements
Supports modernization of legacy systems, assists with converting mainframe reports into modern applications, and troubleshoots both legacy and current financial management systems under the guidance of technical staff
Ensures the reliability of systems used for budget development, federal aid management, financial planning, performance monitoring, and the Five‑Year Work Program
Qualification
Required
Candidates must have an Associate's or Bachelor's degree, a technical certificate, or equivalent experience
Up to one year of IT experience is expected
Working knowledge of basic hardware/software environments
Familiarity with reporting tools
Knowledge of SQL and modern development tools (e.g., Visual Studio, SQL Server Management Studio)
Willingness to learn legacy programming concepts (e.g., FOCUS/WebFOCUS)
Ability to follow structured support procedures
Strong organizational abilities for task prioritization
Interpersonal and customer service skills are essential to ensure professional and effective communication
