This hands-on role focuses on designing, optimizing, and implementing manufacturing processes to maximize efficiency, quality, and throughput while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities
Design and implement production processes for new products and product changes
Design production tooling using 2D and 3D modeling software (SolidWorks)
Perform root cause analysis and recommend improvements to designs, tolerances, and processes using Lean tools
Conduct FMEAs for new and existing products, materials, and processes
Review product designs for manufacturability and optimize processing methods
Lead design review meetings for new and existing products
Develop work instructions, statements of work, and critical parts inventories
Implement automation solutions, including robotics, vision systems, controls integration, end-of-arm tooling, fixturing, gauging, and machine design
Lead productivity improvement initiatives across current production lines
Participate in cross-functional teams to ensure optimal manufacturing methods
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
Hands-on manufacturing engineering experience in a heavy industrial environment
Tooling design experience
Project management experience – ability to run projects end-to-end
Experience with automation, including robotics and PLCs
Proficiency in 3D modeling software (SolidWorks) and Microsoft Office
Foundry, high-pressure aluminum die casting, stamping, plating, or finishing experience (plastic injection molding considered)
Strong teamwork, ethics, and leadership skills
Commitment to quality, productivity, and continuous improvement
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Sound judgment, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
Professionalism and customer service orientation
Organizational support and adherence to safety, 6S, and security protocols
