Responsibilities
Provide training, guidance, mentoring, and reach back support to ORNL staff responsible for isotope inventory and cost management at ORNL and throughout the DOE Complex
Support ORNL staff with response to audits and reviews from third parties, including the DOE
Collaborate and engage with R&D and production staff to assist with prediction of labor, material, and infrastructure costs for proposed and planned isotope production campaigns
Guide the development of processes that analyze plan versus actual costs to assess lessons learned and recommend adjustments as needed
Support the federal procurement process for complicated isotope material acquisitions and university production subcontract agreements
Advise ISED leadership on strategies and approaches for improved fiscal program performance
Work effectively in a team environment to communicate and exchange information
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance
Minimum of 30 years of experience working with production of enriched stable isotopes and radioisotopes and the associated cost modeling and accounting
Understanding and knowledge of the equipment and processes used to produce enriched stable isotopes and radioisotopes
Strong analytical and accounting skills
Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary engineering and finance teams
Proficiency with standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office) and accounting tools
