Associate Planning Engineer

Responsibilities
Solve simple, routine technical problems following established procedures and policies
Apply basic principles, theories, and concepts of electrical engineering to support transmission system planning and power system analysis
Utilize and develop proficiency in industry-standard analytical tools such as ETAP, SKM, CYME, Synergi, WindMil, PSS/E, PSLF, PowerGEM TARA, or ASPEN
Assist in the technical writing of project findings and contribute to the preparation of basic analysis for project reports
Communicate with peers to explain facts, basic analysis, and engineering processes related to your work area
Learn to apply NERC reliability standards FERC regulatory policies, or IEEE standards to real-world infrastructure projects
Qualification
Required
Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE)
Less than 1 year of prior relevant experience
Basic knowledge of and ability to apply principles, theories, and concepts of the electrical engineering domain (e.g., load flow, short circuit, and basic circuitry)
Ability to solve routine technical problems in a team environment
Demonstrates solid oral and written communication skills for peer-to-peer collaboration
Willingness to travel to project and/or client sites as required for data collection or team meetings
