Responsibilities
Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analysis for total systems
Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints
Coordinate the activities of the software engineering department with other sections of the corporation's information systems operation
Deliver high-quality, scalable technical solutions and provide expertise and direction in the development or modification of complex software programs to enhance an operating system
Participate in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing and certification of software
Be recognized as domain experts who lead technical decisions and influence technical direction within their team
Be responsible for the instruction, assigning, and overseeing the performance of less experienced software systems engineers
Qualification
Required
Active DoD Secret clearance
A Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
8+ years of related experience
Strong understanding of general system engineering principles
Experience with Agile development
Extensive SATCOM knowledge
Ability to travel 25%
Preferred
Master's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university
Experience with DoD acquisitions processes
Experience with DoD SATCOM acquisition, prioritization, and spectrum management processes
Experience with SATCOM Planning and Link Budget Analysis
Experience with ITU guidelines
Experience with antenna theory and system noise impacts
