Responsibilities
Serve as the issues expert for the region, lead community assessment for new infrastructure sites, identify potential risks, and develop engagement plans to proactively address community concerns while supporting AWS's data center infrastructure
Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders including community leaders, and local officials, representing AWS Infrastructure in public meetings and forums
Utilize multiple communication channels to promote community initiatives both internally and externally, including handling difficult conversations with community members to achieve productive outcomes
Capture and analyze data to demonstrate the quantified and qualified impact of community engagement initiatives, track metrics, and communicate results to internal and external stakeholders
Qualification
Required
10+ years of public policy, government relations, community relations, public affairs, or corporate social responsibility experience
8 or more years experience supporting infrastructure projects
6 or more years experience in issues management
Preferred
Experience influencing multiple stakeholders and leading cross functional teams across geographies and business units
Experience communicating to a diverse, global audience
