APS-3: Ground Support Equipment Wroker

Responsibilities
Make repairs to Ground Support Equipment (GSE)
Troubleshoot malfunctions of GSE using conventional and digital multi-meters, voltmeters, ohmmeters, frequency counters, oscilloscopes, circuit card testers, transistor testers, and hand tools
Prepare GSE for storage and transportation
Use automated maintenance data systems to maintain equipment records, and document maintenance actions
Maintain external fuel and grounding systems
Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on GSE, inspecting, testing, and operating GSE to determine equipment serviceability and proper operation
Service equipment with fuel, oil, water, coolant, hydraulic fluid, refrigerant, and compressed air
Disassemble and assemble malfunctioning GSE accessories and components
Remove, disassemble repair, clean, and treat for corrosion, assemble, and reinstall GSE components and accessories
Stencil and mark GSE in accordance with technical publications
Store, handle, label, use, and dispose of hazardous materials and waste in accordance with all state, local, and federal environmental standards and regulations
Operate, clean, inspect, and service GSE towing vehicles
Maintain and update both paper and electronic records for equipment and vehicles
Provide dispatch service for GSE, and practice good housekeeping, tool control, Foreign Object Damage prevention and safety at all times
Work both individually and as a part of a team within the Site Support Department
Perform field level automotive maintenance on all automotive, tactical, and combat equipment assigned or work-loaded to the APS-03 program
As a subject matter expert, lead and provide training for lesser-qualified or experienced mechanics
Use government furnished special tools, property, and facilities
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Must be a U.S. Citizen with a valid U.S. Passport
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC)
Must obtain and maintain local base access
Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent
Requires ASE Certifications, on-the-job training, other formalized training, or additional related experience may be considered
Must have at least a basic level skill in Microsoft Office programs
Must have a valid State issued Driver's License
Must be able to stand - between 2 to 3 hours per day
Must be able to walk - between 4 to 5 hours per day
Must be able to Lift - up to 35 lbs
Must be able to squat, kneel, bend, reach and climb periodically
Must be able to work outside and inside in non-climate-controlled environments
