Responsibilities
Periodic inspections of assigned data centers to ensure policies are being upheld
Responsible for floor space allocations and related rack and rack peripheral infrastructure build out to accommodate hardware installations and moves
Responsible for generating and communicating Data Center metrics
Responsible for the management of data center operations and owned inventory
Communicates provisions of data center policies and standards to the corporation and facilitates customer understanding of processes and procedures
Plans and coordinates with various cross-functional teams and vendors to ensure present and future capacity/scalability
Supports data center infrastructure by installing, maintaining, and repairing hardware in order to accommodate Data Center growth. Act as first-level support to the data center-owned hardware
Performs data gathering and analysis and provides basic summary reporting in support of information technology projects
Assists more senior analysts and IT management in evaluating implemented solutions and practices for continuous improvements
Performs a variety of tasks in support of the data centers and must be able to work in a goal-setting environment
Maintains up-to-date knowledge of information systems technology
Works with users, cross-functional technical staffs and all levels of management to translate requirements to develop processes and procedures
Works with other operations and system management personnel to ensure accuracy and timeliness of production and non-production activities
Provides support for data backups and specific software products and tools deployed within the data center
Maintains up-to-date knowledge of information systems technology

Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM)
NLYTE
CAD
Visio
Previous data center experience in a live production data center
DCIM (Data Center Infrastructure Management) tools are critical: NLYTE
Experience with CAD and Visio
Ability to prioritize workflow
