Level 3 Help Desk Support Specialist (Hiring Local Applicants Only)

T1 Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Level III Help Desk Agent who will serve as the escalation point and resident expert for Microsoft 365 tenant administration and endpoint management. The role involves complex troubleshooting, driving permanent fixes, and standardizing best practices across client environments to ensure security and productivity.

Responsibilities

Administer and harden multi-tenant Microsoft 365 environments (licensing, Exchange Online, SharePoint/Teams governance, Defender portals)
Build, deploy, and maintain Intune policies: Autopilot, compliance/configuration profiles, update rings, and app packaging
Design and enforce Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) Conditional Access, MFA standards, identity governance (access reviews, lifecycle)
Administer and troubleshoot Windows Server 2016–2022 environments, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, File Services, and user/group management
Manage VMware vSphere or Microsoft Hyper-V hosts — create and manage VMs, snapshots, templates, and virtual networking
Build and migrate servers (physical-to-virtual or server-to-server), and perform file/data migrations across environments
Implement and maintain backup and recovery solutions such as Veeam or Acronis, including snapshot management and recovery testing
Understand VLANs, IP addressing, routing fundamentals, and firewall rules affecting server and VM connectivity
Support hybrid AD and Microsoft Azure IaaS environments using Entra ID Connect
Automate repetitive tasks with PowerShell/Graph API and produce meaningful reports
Act as escalation for complex tickets/issues; mentor and guide Help Desk Agents I & II
Lead root-cause analysis and problem management to reduce recurring incidents
Contribute and maintain internal SOPs/KBs so the team can self‑solve next time
Proactively identify client needs and recommend improvements (secure configurations, efficiency gains, policy updates)
Meet or exceed SLAs/MTTR targets and keep stakeholders informed with clear, timely communication
Participate in an on-call rotation

Required

2+ years hands-on administration of Microsoft 365, Intune, Entra ID, and Windows Server 2016–2022 in a multi-tenant/MSP or complex enterprise environment
Proven experience managing VMware vSphere or Microsoft Hyper-V environments, including VM lifecycle, templates, and virtual networking
Practical experience with server builds, workload migrations, and file/data migrations
Familiarity with VM and server backup solutions (e.g., Veeam, Acronis) and recovery testing procedures
Strong PowerShell scripting skills for Microsoft cloud administration and automation
Demonstrated troubleshooting chops for Windows endpoints, related peripherals, and cloud-integrated services
Solid grasp of modern security concepts (Zero Trust, Conditional Access, MFA enforcement, device compliance)
Associate degree in IT/related field or equivalent experience/certifications
Valid driver's license, clean history, and reliable personal transportation

Preferred

Certifications like MS-102, SC-300, MD-102, AZ-104, SC-200 (or willingness to earn within 6 months)
Experience supporting hybrid infrastructures integrating on-prem Windows Server, Active Directory, Entra ID, and Azure IaaS
Experience with VMware/Citrix, wireless networking, or on-prem Windows Server environments
Familiarity with PSA/RMM tools (e.g., Halo, Ninja, Datto)
KQL experience for Microsoft Defender/M365 log queries
Windows Server 2016–2022 multi-tenant-environment: 2 years
VMware configuration and troubleshooting: 1 year
