The State of Delaware is seeking a Deputy Attorney General to represent the Department of Technology and Information. This role involves providing general counsel on various legal matters related to technology and information governance for state agencies.

Responsibilities
Providing general counsel on procurement law, contracts law and negotiations, cyber security and liability, appropriate data usage, privacy laws, data retention and preservation, inadvertent disclosures, legislation, IT project management legal issues, appropriations, labor and employment, and the Freedom of Information Act ("FOIA")
Serve as counsel to State boards, including the Delaware AI Commission, the Cyber Security Advisory Council, and the State and Local Cybersecurity Grant Program Planning Committee
Handle additional assignments as directed by the State Solicitor, Deputy State Solicitor, Unit Head, or Assistant Unit Head
Qualification
Required
Membership in Delaware Bar is required
Ability to work independently
Ability to meet deadlines
Ability to communicate clearly with client agencies
Demonstrated legal ability
Thorough knowledge of relevant laws and court rules
Willingness to travel within the State to meet departmental needs and meeting schedules
Preferred
Some prior general counsel and technology law experience
