Responsibilities

Assist with laboratory projects in development of lab test fixtures for EE/RF projects, e.g. of testing DC/RF power supplies and impedance matching networks. Work with project owners in troubleshooting and functionality test
Develop e.g. LabVIEW programs for automation control of lab measurement instruments
Support experimental data acquisition and processing, and some simple to moderate data modeling

Required

Student must be pursuing a Master's degree program in science or engineering area
Student is in good academic standing at their university, with a GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale
Good program skill in LabVIEW; and practical experience in serial communication and data acquisition programming
Familiar with serial communication, e.g., RS232/485, command protocol and structure
Quick learner

Preferred

Training in power electric and electronics areas is preferred; familiar with circuit simulation, e.g. LTSPICE; Knowledge in Plasma is a plus
Program experience and knowledge e.g. in LabVIEW; able to write scripts to process raw data is a plus
Familiar with lab data acquisition, analysis, modeling, and visualization
Able to safely operate basic lab test equipment, e.g. oscilloscope and network analyzer
