Responsibilities
Manage assigned telecom projects from initiation through completion
Serve as a primary point of contact for client communication and coordination
Oversee and coordinate work performed by engineering, drafting, and field teams
Monitor project budgets, schedules, and scope to ensure profitability
Identify and support additional work opportunities within existing client projects
Ensure quality completion of OSP engineering designs and related field work
Review and approve invoicing and job-completion submission packages
Maintain accurate project documentation, forecasts, and reporting
Collaborate internally to resolve issues and adjust priorities as needed
Support training and development of junior team members
Perform other duties as needed to support operational goals
Provide day-to-day leadership and coordination with engineering staff
Support hiring, training, and development efforts as needed
Serve as a mentor and resource for junior team members
Promote accountability, quality, and collaboration across project teams
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree required (Engineering preferred); substantial OSP telecom experience with project management may be considered in lieu of a degree
2+ years of Project Management or large job coordination experience
Training in outside plant (OSP) engineering methods and procedures
Functional knowledge of OSP principles, work order processes, and CAD systems (AutoCAD or similar)
Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, invoicing, and revenue tracking
High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
Willingness to learn and adapt to evolving tools, technologies, and processes
Telecom/ Fiber Project Management: 2 years (Required)
OSP Fiber Design Engineering: 2 years (Required)
Fiber Planning: 2 years (Required)
This is a position that is eligible for hybrid work after 90 days based on performance. The candidate MUST reside in a drivable commute to the Raleigh, NC area
Preferred
PMP or other project management certification
Experience supporting AT&T, Google Fiber, or similar telecom clients
Experience managing forecasts, margins, and performance metrics
