Senior Supply Chain Analyst

The Senior Supply Chain Analyst plays a critical role in driving end-to-end planning excellence across demand, supply, capacity, and inventory, partnering with various teams to provide actionable insights and support business objectives.

Responsibilities
Anticipate capacity constraints and apply smoothing techniques to balance demand
Use scenario modeling to proactively evaluate the impact of demand fluctuations, supply disruptions, or operational changes
Optimize inventory by balancing service levels and carrying costs; manage buffers and safety stock
Track KPIs like OTD, schedule adherence, and capacity utilization; lead root cause analysis as needed
Own planning metrics such as forecast accuracy, forecast variance, and excess/obsolete inventory
Define and evolve KPIs; develop dashboards and tools to support business objectives
Present supply chain and inventory performance metrics to executive management
Analyze cross-functional data to support long-term scenario planning, capacity decisions, and executive reporting
Continuously improve planning tools and dashboards to ensure accurate, timely, and actionable insights
Lead development and deployment of advanced analytics and predictive models to improve planning accuracy and drive operational efficiency
Lead the monthly Demand Review process, highlighting gaps between the bottom-up forecast and the top-down financial targets
Develop and maintain 12-to-18-month rolling demand forecasts at the SKU and aggregate levels
Support the full SIOP cycle, including demand, supply, and executive alignment
Collaborate cross-functionally to translate forecasting insights into executable operational plans
Join NPI meetings and proactively escalate issues impacting production or OTD
Support customer S&OP/business reviews; provide forecasting and capacity insights
Set production goals aligned with demand and strategic priorities
Provide shipping commitments based on inventory and schedules
Collaborate on Make vs Buy decisions and machine allocation
Support CapEx planning with insights on demand trends, capacity constraints, and future production outlook
Act as the primary point of contact for demand-related communication and escalations
Champion system optimization and master data governance/integrity to enable reliable planning decisions
Resolve ERP data issues quickly to avoid production delays
Identify system gaps; lead enhancements, testing, and user training for ERP and related systems
Evaluate and implement advanced planning tools and digital solutions to strengthen planning capabilities
Maintain and improve planning documentation including SOPs, SWIs, and job aids
Lead process standardization, continuous improvement, and planning maturity initiatives across sites
Drive planning excellence by embedding lean principles and promoting continuous improvement
Promote peer development to expand cross-functional knowledge
Develop analytics capabilities and enhance data literacy throughout the planning team to enable data-driven decision-making
Perform other duties as assigned to support team and business goals
Qualification
Required
Strong understanding of MRP and planning best practices
Ability to translate large datasets into clear, actionable executive summaries
Skilled in ERP systems (Epicor preferred)
Experienced in manufacturing, production, or warehousing environments
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Power BI and Excel, including LOOKUPs, IF/AND/OR Statements, Pivot Tables, Power Query)
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field, or significant experience in lieu of Bachelor's degree
Preferred
3 years of related experience preferred
Pursue ongoing learning (e.g., ASCM Foundations, Supply Chain Planning Certificate, CPIM, or CSCP)
