Benefits Intern (Undergraduate - Summer 2026)

Centene Corporation is transforming the health of the community, and they are seeking an intern to join their team for a 12-week program. The intern will review and enhance benefits communications, support the development of educational materials, and participate in project meetings to improve employee understanding of benefit offerings.

Responsibilities

Review, audit, and catalog existing benefits communications across all channels (email, PDFs, presentations, intranet content, guides, and employee‑facing materials)
Identify opportunities to simplify, modernize, and improve employee understanding of benefit offerings
Partner with the Benefits team to draft or enhance educational materials including FAQs, onboarding content, and broader employee education materials
Support development of clear, employee‑friendly messaging around health plans, cost‑sharing, enrollment timelines, and benefit changes
Participate in project meetings, gather stakeholder feedback, and assist with organizing content workflows
Performs other duties as assigned
Complies with all policies and standards

Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future
High school diploma or equivalent
Must be enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited university or college, preferably in a field related to the hiring department through the internship period

Coursework or experience in HR, Communications, Marketing or Business
