Responsibilities

Assist with the coordination, communication, and implementation of core Farm to School initiatives, including programs and resources led by the Cornell Farm to School Team
Help sustain relationships among schools, producers, and partners
Support communication and resource-sharing activities
Assist in the management of social media and outreach
Assist with events that benefit stakeholders and foster the continued growth of the Farm to School program

Required

Associate's degree in agriculture, food studies, nutrition, or closely related field, and 2+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
Excellent written and oral communication skills and demonstrated ability to communicate with a broad range of people
Attention to detail and organizational skills are critical
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Must have proficiency in Windows-based software, including the internet, Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Experience managing social media platforms
Able to work quickly and efficiently under general supervision
Knowledge of balancing conflicting priorities, making informed choices, and using sound judgment in completing urgent tasks
Experience that demonstrates creativity, reasoning, and solution-finding techniques
Will be expected to work flexible hours, occasional evenings, and weekends as job functions require
Must be able to meet the travel requirements of the position, and have reliable transportation as well as have and maintain a valid and unrestricted New York State driver's license
Ability to cultivate and develop inclusive working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and community members

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in agriculture, food systems, nutrition, or a closely related field, and 3+ years of relevant work experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience
Demonstrated ability to function as a part of a team, working with staff and community partners, often remotely
Ability to learn the philosophy, objectives, and operation of an informal education system such as Cornell Cooperative Extension
Experience using software programs such as Airtable, MailChimp, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and Salesforce
