Responsibilities

Develop and deploy multi-year sourcing strategies to optimize the supply base for both new product introductions (NPI) and existing production
Lead negotiations for complex Master Agreements, Statements of Work (SOWs), and Proposals, ensuring favorable terms for cost, quality, and delivery
Ensure all procurement actions comply with FAR/DFARS, ITAR, and cybersecurity requirements (e.g., NIST 800-171), supporting DCAA/DCMA audits
Evaluate supplier performance (OTD, quality), conduct capability/capacity assessments, and manage risk, including single-source mitigation
Utilize should-cost modeling, clean-sheet analysis, and value engineering to drive total cost of ownership (TCO) reductions
Partner with Engineering, Quality, Program Management, and Legal teams to align sourcing strategies with program schedules and technical requirements
Provide supplier bids and price analyses for new business proposals (TINA compliance)

Required

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field
10+ years of strategic sourcing, procurement, or commodity management experience (aerospace or defense industry is preferred)
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, special processing, assembly, etc.) and experience reading engineering drawings/specifications
Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and MS Office Suite
Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance (DoD Secret/Top Secret)

Preferred

MBA or Master's degree in a relevant field is desired
Knowledge of FAR/DFARS contracting regulations and government procurement practices is preferred
Desired Professional certification (e.g., Certified Professional in Supply Management - CPSM, CPM)
Desired experience with Lean Six Sigma tools
Desired experience with AS9100 quality standards
