Responsibilities
Collaborate with other software engineers and teams to design and implement deployment approaches using automated continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines
Collaborate with other software engineers and teams to design, develop, test, and implement availability, reliability, scalability, and solutions in applications
Implement infrastructure, configuration, and network as code for applications and platforms in scope
Utilize service level indicators and objectives to resolve issues before they impact customers
Support the adoption of site reliability engineering best practices
Qualification
Required
Master's degree in Computer Science or related field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or as Site Reliability Engineer, Software Architect, Systems Engineer, Programmer, or related occupation
Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Site Reliability Engineer, Software Architect, Systems Engineer, Programmer, or related occupation
Three (3) years of experience with developing software throughout the Software Development Life Cycle including requirements gathering, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance
Three (3) years of experience with designing software utilizing software architecture principles, including microservices, client-server architecture, and RESTful services
Three (3) years of experience with designing software using patterns including Singleton, Factory, Observer, and MVC
Three (3) years of experience with managing and collaborating on code using version control systems such as Git
Three (3) years of experience with designing SQL, relational, or NoSQL databases
Three (3) years of experience with conducting code reviews and refactoring code to improve quality and maintainability
Three (3) years of experience with conducting unit testing, integration testing, and test-driven development for software
Three (3) years of experience with managing and delivering software projects in Agile environments, using frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban
Any experience with developing, debugging, and optimizing applications using at least one programming language such as Python, Java, or .Net
Any experience with implementing and managing observability solutions, including setting up white and black box monitoring, configuring service level objective alerting, and collecting and analyzing telemetry data using tools such as Grafana, Dynatrace, Prometheus, Datadog, or Splunk
Any experience with designing, implementing, and maintaining continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, or Spinnaker
Any experience with automating build, test, and deployment processes
Any experience with writing, testing, and deploying infrastructure as code using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
Any experience with creating reusable modules and managing infrastructure lifecycle
Any experience with deploying, scaling, and managing containerized applications and container orchestration platforms, including ECS, Kubernetes, and Docker
Any experience with optimizing resource allocation and ensuring high availability
