TPWD - Intern I - II - III (Wildlife Conservation Program - Nongame and Rare Species/Botany Intern)
Texas Parks and Wildlife Department is dedicated to managing and conserving Texas' natural and cultural resources. The Intern will assist in field data collection, data entry, and research on Species of Greatest Conservation Need (SGCN) plants, focusing on conservation status assessments and fieldwork under various conditions.

Responsibilities
Research, data entry and SGCN status assessments
Field work
Performs additional duties as assigned
Complies with Agency, Division and Department rules, regulations, and procedures
Qualification
Required
Current enrollment as an undergraduate or graduate student in an accredited college or university or recent graduate with a bachelor's degree or higher within the last 6 months
Minimum of 18 completed semester credit hours from an accredited college or university at time of application
Must have an overall grade point average (GPA) of 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 grade point scale or 'Pass' on a Pass/Fail system
Must possess a valid state driver's license
Preferred
Current undergraduate student enrolled in an accredited college or university in a Wildlife Science or closely related Bachelor's degree program
Coursework in Ecology, Conservation Biology, or Botany
Experience in wildlife research and field biology techniques
Familiarity with basic plant taxonomy
Experience with data entry, databases and mapping systems
