Responsibilities
Design and manage cloud network architectures (VPC/VNet, subnets, routing, NAT, gateways)
Implement hybrid connectivity (Site-to-Site VPN, Client VPN, Direct Connect/ExpressRoute)
Configure and manage network security : firewalls, NSGs/SGs, WAF, NACLs, Zero Trust patterns
Build and maintain load balancing and traffic management (L4/L7, DNS, Anycast)
Support Kubernetes and container networking (CNI, ingress, service mesh basics)
Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize network performance, latency, and availability
Automate network provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Bicep/CloudFormation)
Integrate networking with CI/CD pipelines and Git-based workflows
Collaborate with security, DevOps, and application teams
Ensure compliance, logging, and observability (flow logs, metrics, alerts)
Participate in on-call rotations and incident response
Qualification
Required
3–8+ years of experience in network engineering with cloud exposure
Strong hands-on experience with AWS / Azure / GCP networking
Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP(S), BGP, routing, VLANs
Experience with VPNs, private endpoints, peering, and inter-region designs
Familiarity with firewalls, WAF, DDoS protection
Proficiency with IaC tools (Terraform preferred)
Experience with Linux networking and troubleshooting
Working knowledge of monitoring/logging tools
Strong documentation and communication skills
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
Preferred
Kubernetes networking (Ingress controllers, service mesh basics)
SD-WAN or enterprise WAN exposure
Scripting (Python, Bash)
Certifications: AWS Advanced Networking, Azure Network Engineer Associate, CCNP
Experience in financial services / regulated environments
