Lead systems‑engineer activities for avionics subsystems across the full product lifecycle
Translate customer requirements into technical solutions, define software/hardware interfaces, verify requirements, and integrate safety‑critical systems
Support design and certification of embedded mission software for modern defense platforms (software‑requirements development or C‑code test procedures as needed)
Develop high‑level and low‑level system, software, and subsystem requirements and maintain a comprehensive traceability matrix
Author and update Interface Control Documents (ICDs) for internal & external hardware/software interfaces
Create/review algorithms that satisfy performance and safety constraints
Allocate requirements to the appropriate engineering discipline (software, hardware, integration, test)
Apply Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) to solve complex problems
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (hardware, software, integration/test) on interface definition, issue resolution, and performance validation
Produce test plans, procedures, and detailed reports; execute integration, verification, and validation (IV&V) tests
Design and implement C/C++ test procedures that verify all SRS high‑level and SDD low‑level software requirements
Conduct lab investigations, troubleshoot software issues, and perform regression analysis
Ensure full traceability of test results back to original requirements and generate verification reports
Operate in a software‑development lab environment using DevSecOps and CI/CD best practices
