Principal Engineer Systems Architect – MBSE Modeler (26-024)

Responsibilities

Developing and maintaining model quality by identifying Authoritative and Reference data sources to support model requirements and establishing appropriate workflows and processes to feed and sustain the models with that data at the appropriate cadence
Supporting the development of models and the MBSE team with the development and implementation of team processes, task planning, and training/coaching junior team members in various aspects of MBSE and the tools
Support maintaining a strong technical relationship with the government customer(s) and other partner organizations (internal and external) to help develop the full Digital Engineering lifecycle for the program. This includes developing and delivering briefings and leading or representing our team in workshops and other collaborative venues
Work will be performed under the supervision of the MBSE Lead and will require the candidate to interface with other technical leads, product owners, C2BMC management, and government customers to ensure high-quality products are delivered on time and within available resources
Reviewing technical or procedural products, their content, and providing recommendations on technical products
Be actively involved in Agile development efforts, including iteration planning and status updates

Required

A Bachelor's Degree in STEM Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field from an accredited university, along with 5 years of experience; or a Master's degree (preferred) in a STEM-related field with 3 years of relevant work experience; or a PhD in a related STEM discipline with 1 year of relevant work experience
Applicants must have a current, active in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start
Willingness to travel up to 10% for business needs

Preferred

Master's Degree in Systems Engineering is highly preferred
Certification: INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) Certification
Certification: Object Management Group Certified Systems Modeling Professional - Model Builder Fundamental (OCSMP - MBF)
Should have a good understanding of general systems engineering management practices and tools, including Agile, Atlassian JIRA, Confluence, and SharePoint
Knowledge or ability to administer these would be a definite plus
Ability to create and manage RTMs, RVCMs, and similar products using the CAMEO tool set is a significant plus
Should have a solid understanding of basic data management concepts
Experience with or leading digital transformation efforts (DX) would be a big plus
Must have extensive experience developing UML/SysML models using Dassault Systèmes CAMEO and Teamwork-Cloud (TWC) products or similar modeling platforms such as IBM Rhapsody or SPARX EA
Must have a solid understanding of MBSE and how it differs from legacy Systems Engineering methodologies
Must have experience working with Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirements (DOORs) Classic
Specifically managing requirements derivation, allocation, and traceability using both DOORS and CAMEO is highly desired
Experience developing, managing, and sustaining traditional RDBMS is highly desired
Experience or knowledge of NoSQL databases, as well as Big Data concepts such as 'data quality,' 'pipelines', and integrations across databases, is a huge plus
