Responsibilities
Build, test, augment, disconnect, and migrate infrastructure circuits across multiple platforms and autonomous systems
Draft and execute Method of Operating Procedure (MOP) documentation for circuit augments, hot-cuts, disconnects, and grooming activities
Coordinate change management activities through NOC scheduling and formal change control processes
Collaborate cross-functionally with Planning, Architecture & Engineering, Operations, and Field teams to execute network initiatives
Apply CCNA-level routing and switching expertise to deploy and migrate infrastructure circuits
Navigate complex projects involving multiple autonomous systems, tools, and internal processes
Troubleshoot router and switch connectivity issues using OSI or DoD troubleshooting models
Support routing and switching environments across multi-vendor platforms (Cisco, Juniper, Nokia or similar)
Work with dynamic routing protocols including IS-IS, BGP, MPLS, OSPF and switching protocols such as LLDP, CDP, Spanning Tree, and MAC-level operations
Automate repetitive operational processes including configuration deployment, MOP creation, and reporting
Document Network Readiness Testing (NRT) platforms, systems, and technical requirements
Lead and participate in technical conference calls with cross-functional stakeholders
Adapt to evolving processes, tools, project scope changes, and technology advancements
Qualification
Required
1–5 years of experience working with routing and switching technologies in an enterprise or ISP environment
Foundational experience with automation or scripting languages (education or practical application)
Strong understanding of circuit design and deployment from inception through migration
Working knowledge of Layer 1–4 networking fundamentals
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams)
Preferred
CCNA certification strongly preferred
Ability to organize multiple concurrent projects while maintaining accurate documentation and meeting deadlines
Strong independent decision-making and problem-solving skills
Effective collaboration with engineers, project managers, vendors, technicians, and cross-functional teams
Comfortable working within a dynamic, fast-paced, and evolving technical environment
Ability to communicate clearly and professionally at various organizational levels
