Responsibilities
Processing and entering hepatitis B virus (HBV) and hepatitis C virus (HCV) laboratory and case data in NBS (surveillance system)
Reviewing and managing assigned surveillance and document review queues
Applying CDC/CSTE case definitions to determine case status
Identifying acute, reinfection, perinatal, infant, and fetal death cases
Performing routine data cleaning and quality assurance
Processing paper electronic, and orphaned laboratory reports
Resolving data discrepancies and incomplete records
Coordinating medical record requests as assigned
Communicating data issues and notable findings to the team leader
Participating in required meetings, training, and team activities
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent required
Ability to accurately enter and maintain confidential health data with strong attention to detail
Ability to follow detailed procedures and meet established data quality and performance standards
Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively
Proficiency with basic computer applications and data systems
Preferred
Data entry or data systems experience and medical or public health knowledge preferred
