Senior Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technician
K2 Space Corporation is building the largest and highest-power satellites ever flown, supported by significant investment and contracts. The Senior Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technician will support the assembly and testing of satellite subsystems, ensuring quality and reliability of electro-mechanical components in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities
Assemble, test, and rework electro-mechanical hardware including batteries, reaction wheels, and flight computers
Follow detailed work instructions and manufacturing procedures, performing all work in the MES system (scanning, material consumption, and built traceability)
Fabricate and terminate small harnesses within assemblies
Support functional testing, environmental testing, and troubleshooting
Set up, operate, and monitor thermal chambers during thermal cycles
Occasionally support component integration onto the satellite bus
Practice 5S principles of organizing and sustaining an efficient and presentable workspace
Provide consistent process improvement feedback to engineering and production leadership
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience assembling, integrating, and testing flight hardware in the aerospace industry
Proficiency with computers and ability to use MS Office and shop floor management software
Demonstrated high level of ownership and problem-solving abilities
Experience working with FOD, ESD sensitive hardware and clean room requirements
Must be able to perform repetitive tasks such as bending or twisting, grasping, standing, lifting, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, carrying, and use hands to operate tools or machine controls
Must be able to lift and carry parts or equipment up to 50 lbs. unassisted
Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
Must be able to work extended hours and/or weekends as needed
Preferred
Ability to read mechanical and engineering drawings and interpret tolerances (including GD&T)
Experience working with engineering teams in development and production environments
Experience working with electromechanical systems and familiarity with electrical schematics
Strong communication skills with ability to communicate hardware and systems problems, and provide feedback on improving tooling processes and part design
