IT Ops Intern
Johnson & Johnson believes health is everything and is seeking a motivated IT Operations Intern to support their security engineering and IT operations teams. This role provides hands-on experience in cloud and infrastructure operations, and automation while contributing to operational tasks and security projects under supervision.

Responsibilities
Collaborate with IT Operations and IT Security on best practices for operational and security work
Exposure to incident response activities: evidence collection, initial analysis, and documentation
Help maintain and apply patches, and updates across endpoints and servers
Support identity and access management tasks (user provisioning, MFA troubleshooting, least-privilege reviews)
Develop and maintain automation scripts (Python, PowerShell, Bash) for repetitive operational tasks
Update and maintain runbooks, SOPs, and security documentation
Participate in routine audits, compliance checks, and change management activities
Collaborate with IT, development, and security teams on projects and improvements
Qualification
Required
Completion of Undergraduate Freshman year at an accredited University is required
Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a related information technology, or related fields
Have a cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher, which is reflective of all college coursework
Basic understanding of networking, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and common security concepts (confidentiality, integrity, availability)
Familiarity with at least one scripting language (Python, PowerShell, or Bash)
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Good written and verbal communication skills; ability to document technical findings clearly
Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow security policies
Permanently authorized to work in the U.S., must not require sponsorship of an employment visa (e.g., H-1B or green card) at the time of application or in the future
