Responsibilities

Providing a comprehensive program of substance abuse prevention and treatment services to the Agency’s clients
Ensuring program compliance with Agency policies and NYS Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS) standards and 'best practice' guidelines, including adherence to supervision requirements, clinical guidelines, staffing ratios and authorization for services

Required

Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW)/Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)/Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMC) accreditation required
A minimum of three years' relevant work experience with children or adolescents in the substance use field
Valid NYS driver license required
Knowledge of principles, methods, and procedures for diagnosis and treatment of substance abuse disorders
Knowledge of adolescent behavior and performance; individual differences in ability, personality, and interests; learning and motivation
Familiarity with agency and state regulations and guidelines concerning the provision of substance abuse prevention and treatment services to children in residential care
Knowledge of DBT treatment model
At least one year of supervisory experience in the substance use field
