Responsibilities
Develop business application components using object‑oriented Java/JEE technologies and established design principles
Provide technical leadership and architectural oversight for application development teams
Develop detailed software design documents and coordinate stakeholder reviews and approvals
Design, develop, and maintain web applications, interfaces, and RESTful web services
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure application architecture aligns with business requirements and modernization goals
Write well‑designed, testable, scalable code using Spring MVC, Hibernate, JavaScript, HTML5, XML, ReactJS, and related technologies
Design logical and physical database models in Oracle and PostgreSQL and support migration from Oracle to PostgreSQL
Execute full SDLC activities including writing technical specifications for complex projects
Prepare and maintain technology roadmaps for supported applications
Tune SQL queries and troubleshoot issues using SQL and PL/SQL
Integrate software components into fully functional systems and support API development
Use source control tools such as Git for versioning and collaboration
Work with application servers including Apache Tomcat, JBOSS, and container platforms such as OpenShift
Develop prototypes, mockups, and UI flows for user review and approval
Support process documentation including flowcharts, layouts, and functional diagrams
Contribute to large Agile development projects using test‑driven development practices
Develop SOAP and RESTful services following modern Java frameworks (Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring Security, Spring Batch)
Support cloud hosting and architecture in AWS environments
Work with architects to recommend cost‑effective cloud solutions using pricing, right‑sizing, and optimization analysis
Use AWS services such as S3, EC2, VPC, Lambda, MSK, and EKS/ECS Fargate
Work with Elastic agents and Kubernetes concepts including Pods, Deployments, and Persistent Volumes
Qualification
Required
12+ years developing complex database systems
12+ years architecting and designing complex systems using Java technologies
12+ years reviewing technical designs to ensure adherence to enterprise standards
10+ years developing complex systems using Java IDEs such as Eclipse or STS
10+ years designing logical and physical data models in SQL or PL/SQL
8+ years preparing and maintaining technology roadmaps
8+ years programming with Java JEE Spring/Spring Boot Framework 3.0
8+ years development experience with Hibernate/JPA
8+ years Databricks experience
8+ years using Elasticsearch and Kibana
8+ years using Python/Scala
8+ years Oracle database experience
5+ years ETL and data pipeline development experience
5+ years AWS cloud experience
5+ years experience with data warehousing, visualization tools, and data integrity practices
5+ years using CMM/CMMI Level 3 processes
5+ years implementing Agile development processes including TDD
5+ years experience with Angular/React JS and JavaScript frameworks
5+ years experience working in JBOSS SOA and DevOps container environments
Experience with integrating software components into enterprise systems
Experience tuning SQL/PL‑SQL queries and debugging database issues
Strong experience with Git and DevOps pipelines
Strong experience with cloud hosting and container orchestration
Preferred
3+ years experience or knowledge creating CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps
Experience with AWS cost optimization, monitoring, and resource planning
Knowledge of Kubernetes, Elastic agents, and containerized deployments
