Senior Financial Analyst (Remote Friendly)

IHMVCU is growing and recruiting for a Senior Financial Analyst to join the team! This role involves analyzing financial data and reports, providing insights, and collaborating with team members to develop strategies that promote departmental and corporate goals.

Responsibilities

Run and maintain the ALLL/CECL model, including making recommendations of changes to model inputs and assumptions, writing the narrative, and presenting results to management
Prepares, analyzes and presents reports and data to management that can be used to assist management with making informed financial decisions
Update the various monthly financial data management applications and publish management reports including Loan Analytics, financial variance analysis, and Profitability analysis
Assembles recurring data needs into functional and fully-automated dashboards and reports. Continually evaluates the dashboards and reports for necessary changes, if any
Preparation and filing of various quarterly reports and submission files including Call Report, FHLB Borrowing Base reports, ALM reports, and Financial and Liquidity forecasts
Establish and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all repeatable processes
Develop a process for tracking and monitoring quarterly Interbank Liability Policy
Update, maintain, and prepare board presentation materials for correspondent banking and municipality agreements
Liquidity contingent funding testing
Tracking performance against various defined policies and peer and industry benchmarks
Respond to auditor and examiner inquiries as directed by management
Assist the credit union with implementing projects that enhance performance, increase efficiencies, and reduce costs where appropriate (e.g., system upgrades/enhancements)

Required

4-year College Degree in Finance, MBA a plus
Five or more years of experience in a financial services industry segment
Experience with data analysis with large datasets
Experience with requirement gathering techniques
Strong ability to read, analyze and interpret financial reports and legal documents
Ability to display strong written and verbal communication skills when working with team members, other business lines, and management
Must be able to work independently with limited supervision and work effectively as a part of a team
Must be able to perform responsibilities with composure under the stress of deadlines with extreme accuracy and quality
Ability to understand model outputs to present meaningful results to management
Proficient in the use of Excel, Word and other financial-based analytic tools

Preferred

Past budgeting or forecasting experience a plus
Knowledge of various allocation methodologies a plus
Knowledge of modeling documentation processes and legal/regulatory requirements a plus
Experience with SQL a plus
Experience with Power BI (or similar BI solutions, such as Qlik) a plus
