Responsibilities
Develops, executes, and documents software/hardware/firmware test plans using both automated and manual testing to ensure products meet design specifications
Leads the effort to establish the test automation framework that will be used across the engineering organization
Builds/purchases/integrates testing tools at the enterprise level and/or across release trains to provide a comprehensive test automation platform
Continuously improves upon the productivity and efficiency of our testing efforts using innovative tools and techniques
Communicates and refines the evolving test automation strategy and tactics to software qa engineering management and individual contributors
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems or related field and/or equivalent
Five (5) equivalent work experience in computer support or information technology environment
General knowledge of hardware, software, and network
Preferred
Experience as a QA Manager, QA Lead, or similar role, with experience in quality assurance
Experience leading Software Quality Engineers in a large-scale IT environment
Experience with Performance Test tools such as JMeter
Familiar with working in an Agile environment (Kanban, Scrum)
Experience performing end-to-end testing across multiple platforms including Linux and IBM-i (AS/400)
Experience using Git and other version control tools
In-depth knowledge of quality assurance methodologies, tools, and frameworks
Background in developing and managing automated test suites using tools (Selenium, TestNG or similar) and scripting languages
Experience with software testing, defect tracking, and quality management systems
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information to both IT and Business area stakeholders
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
