Lead Cable Technician
Confidential is an organization that delivers large-scale, high-profile low voltage infrastructure projects across the United States. They are seeking a Low Voltage Lead Project Technician who will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining low voltage cabling systems in commercial environments, with a travel-intensive role requiring up to 95% travel.

Responsibilities
Install, troubleshoot, and maintain low voltage cabling infrastructure in commercial buildings
Run low voltage cabling, including drilling through concrete walls and performing limited conduit work
Ensure all cabling is neatly dressed, tied, and bundled in accordance with safety and quality standards
Install cable support systems including J-hooks, cable racks, and innerduct
Repair cable poles and towers as required by project scope
Test newly installed cabling systems and connected devices to verify proper operation
Troubleshoot network and cabling issues and perform corrective work
Maintain high standards of workmanship, professionalism, appearance, and customer interaction
Follow all project safety requirements set by customers, internal standards, and OSHA
Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors to support project completion
Qualification
Required
Experience as a Data Cable Technician
Ability and willingness to travel nationwide up to 95% of the time
Strong working knowledge of BICSI, NEC, and TIA/EIA standards
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and site maps
Comfortable working independently and collaborating with crews of 4 to 20 technicians
Strong verbal and written communication skills with customers and internal teams
Ability to identify independent colors and learn color codes
Comfortable working in confined spaces
Ability to operate boom lifts and scissor lifts and work at heights of 40+ feet
Basic telecommunications tools, PPE, and reliable transportation
Working knowledge of structured cabling infrastructure
Valid drivers license with a clean driving record; no DUI or DWI within the last three year
Preferred
Experience with CCTV, voice, and data cabling preferred
Conduit installation experience is a plus
