Avionics Aircraft Completion Technician 3

United Rotorcraft is seeking an Avionics Aircraft Completion Technician 3 to be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing avionics and medical systems wiring harnesses for aircraft completions. The role involves performing checks, configurations, and troubleshooting of avionics systems, ensuring compliance with engineering specifications and industry practices.

Responsibilities

Fabricate avionics, electrical, and medical wiring systems to engineering schematic specifications
Check drawings, job cards and parts kits for accuracy and applicability for assigned tasks and advises lead and/or supervisor of deficiencies
Review drawings for clarity and manufacturing interpretation
Troubleshoot, repair, and modify aircraft electrical, avionics, and medical systems per manufacturer’s instructions, engineering schematics and accepted industry practices
Record work progress, certifications, completion and testing on various production documents per ISO/AS standards and established company policies
Assist with planning and documenting in-flight testing, certification, and troubleshooting procedures
Ensure and maintain a safe work environment
Participate in weekly program status meetings
Provide hours and materials estimates for proposals
Coordinate and communicate with other manufacturing departments, Engineering, and Production Control

Required

Two year certificate from college or technical school; and two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Two to three years of relevant industry experience
Knowledge in avionics test equipment
Knowledge with FAR 91.411 and 91.413
Demonstrated General Aviation avionics experience with installation, troubleshooting, and FAA certification
Avionics systems knowledge to include but not limited to Comm, Nav, Audio, Marker Beacon, Autopilot, Garmin 430, 530, G1000, G500, GTN 650/750, Satellite Phone and Tracking, TCAS, and lighting systems
Ability to read and work from blue prints and schematics
Ability to read, understand written regulatory and technical and exchange the same
Ability to apply creativity and problem solving skills in troubleshooting work
Ability to work as team member and leader under pressure and meet deadlines
Proficient with Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook

Preferred

FCC license preferred
FAA A&P or meet requirements to obtain a FAA repairman certificated preferred
