Senior Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities
Support the mechanical design, development and analyses across various programs
Apply emerging technical expertise in mechanical engineering
Support the successful design and analyses to achieve major organizational objectives
Represent the organization as a technical contact on contracts and projects
Coordinate with more senior internal or external personnel on significant technical matters
Overall design and structural and thermal analyses of hardware assemblies
Selection and use of Commercial Off the Shelf components
Custom hardware design
Setting requirements for mechanical structures
Qualification
Required
Bachelors Degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
Experience supporting multi-disciplinary engineering teams
Strong Problem Solving Skills
Strong Oral and Written Communication Skills
Ability to obtain & maintain a U.S. DoD clearance at the SECRET level. U.S. Citizenship required
Preferred
Strong experience with design CAD/modeling using CREO
Strong experience with structural analysis using hand calculations, closed form solutions and ANSYS
Strong experience with thermal analysis using hand calculations, closed form solutions and ANSYS IcePak
Masters Degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering
