They are seeking a .NET Core Microservice Software Engineer to lead the development and implementation of microservices architecture for critical systems supporting the US Navy, while ensuring compliance with cybersecurity standards.

Responsibilities
Lead the development and implementation of a microservices architecture to modernize critical systems for Navy Sailors
Design, develop, and deploy high-quality, scalable, and maintainable software solutions using Angular, C#, and PostgreSQL
Mentor junior developers, providing technical guidance and fostering their professional growth
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
Drive the adoption of containerization strategies using Docker and Kubernetes to enhance application deployment and security
Ensure and enforce compliance with security protocols and DevSecOps best practices throughout the development lifecycle
Champion Agile development processes within the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodology
Act as a key technical point of contact for stakeholders, communicating project progress, and addressing technical challenges
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field and 8+ years of professional experience, or a Master's degree with 6+ years of experience. In Lieu of degree, High School diploma & 12 years of applicable experience will be acceptable
Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance
Expertise in one or more modern software languages (e.g., C#, Java, Python)
Proven experience with front-end technologies like Angular or React
Strong understanding of relational databases such as PostgreSQL or SQL Server
In-depth knowledge of the full software development lifecycle
Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
Proficiency with automated testing frameworks and techniques
Preferred
Active Secret Clearance
Experience in transforming legacy monolithic systems into a microservices-based architecture
Strong familiarity with DevSecOps principles and CI/CD pipelines
Certified in Agile methodologies (e.g., SAFe, Scrum Master)
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure)
Prior experience working on Department of Defense (DoD) projects
