Responsibilities
Lead and support credentialling conversations with prospective clients
Support business development activities by contributing to client proposals
Engage with financial institutions and merchants to understand their payments requirements, identifying opportunities for modernization and improvement
Lead project teams to deliver payments modernization projects, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery of high-quality results
Design and develop payments architecture solutions that meet clients’ business needs, leveraging industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, project management, and technical teams to ensure seamless project execution
Develop and maintain relationships with clients, provide expert guidance and thought leadership on payments industry trends and best practices
Stay current with industry developments, regulations, and emerging technologies, applying this knowledge to inform solution design and delivery
Develop and maintain technical documentation, including architecture designs, solution proposals, and project plans
Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior team members, supporting their growth and development
Contribute to thought leadership initiatives by sharing your expertise through publications, presentations, and participation in industry conferences
Drive revenue generation through your technical expertise and ability to identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities
Qualification
Required
In-depth knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices, including PCI-DSS, EMV, ISO8583, and ISO 20022
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think strategically and creatively
Experience with business and technology for payments rails such as ACH, Wire, Card, RTP, or FedNow, etc
Experience with legacy and emerging payment areas of focus (including Real Time Payments, Mobile Wallets, Payment Hubs, ISO 20022 Standards, and Open Banking, etc.)
8+ years of experience in payments architecture, with a focus on modernization and digital transformation
8+ years of technical experience in payments systems, including card networks, payment schemes, and/or payment processing technologies
5+ years of experience leading project teams and delivering payments modernization projects
Travel requirements: 20%+, depending on client needs and project requirements
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field
Experience with cloud-based payments platforms, APIs, and microservices architecture
