Responsibilities
Lead and manage the Commercial Pre-Sales team, providing coaching and mentorship to Systems Engineers
Support field SE team by participating in complex evaluations, troubleshooting, and customer engagements
Recruit, hire, and onboard new Systems Engineers and managers within the territory
Build and maintain robust relationships with key customers and channel partners, ensuring ongoing collaboration
Act as a float Systems Engineer, filling in for team members as needed to ensure seamless operations
Serve as the escalation point for pre-sales and post-sales technical issues, ensuring timely resolutions
Conduct regular 1:1s, 2x2 meetings, and quarterly check-ins with direct reports and sales counterparts for performance management
Achieve first-year objectives by exceeding sales performance goals through effective team leadership and customer engagement
Qualification
Required
10+ years of experience as a Senior/Pre-Sales Systems Engineer
3-5+ years of management experience
Deep knowledge of virtualization and storage markets with strong design capabilities
Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
Strong leadership qualities with a ‘whatever it takes' attitude
Ability to mentor, train, and manage Systems Engineers effectively
Willingness to travel up to 50% within the region
