Responsibilities
Review requisitions and release purchase orders in a timely manner to meet customer requirements
Maintain sufficient levels of inventory at our branches and distribution centers to meet customer demand while achieving company inventory turnover objectives
Establish and maintain purchasing data such as price, landed cost, lead-time, order quantity, and product description
Assists with product line and SKU inventory strategy (stock vs. non-stock status)
Expedites delivery of products and maintains credible delivery information for purchase orders. Drives suppliers for excellent delivery performance
Negotiate costs with suppliers
Evaluates potential suppliers and recommends sources of supply based on alignment with company expectations
Stay up to date on industry and product knowledge and market trends
Measure and monitor purchasing and inventory metrics and strive for high performance
Qualification
Required
3 Years purchasing experience
Distribution industry experience and requisite product knowledge
Experience using Epicor's Eclipse ERP system
International freight and import compliance knowledge
Microsoft Office 360, Proficient in Excel
Ability to prioritize and multi-task
Thorough with keen attention to detail
