Responsibilities

Working under close supervision and candidate is responsible for code, test, and documentation of flight controls, autopilot, stability control and motion control system software designs, requiring the application of current industry design concepts and utilization of basic technical writing skills
Emphasis will be placed on supporting the groups engineers to meet program schedule, performance, budget
Assignments will be geared towards learning real-time programming techniques for flight simulation applications

Required

Must be enrolled in an accredited Bachelor's degree (or higher level) college/university program majoring in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering
Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0
Must be willing to learn new procedures and applications
Must have good diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
Must be detail-oriented
Must be customer service-oriented
Must have excellent communication skills
Must be able to work with minimal supervision
Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role
Must comply with all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures
Incumbent must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance

Preferred

Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems
Familiarity with C++, Ada, or Python
Understanding of the concepts of digital machine control systems, basic software engineering methodologies and tools
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret electrical & mechanical drawings, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
