Responsibilities
The focus of this role is to develop code and tests that enable AMD confidential computing features in community projects such as VirTEE, Trustee, Kata Containers, and Confidential Containers (CoCo)
Assist in enabling Secure Encrypted Virtualization (SEV) features in container runtimes, including confidential containers and kata containers
Contribute to internal and external continuous integration (CI) projects by developing and maintaining tests for AMD confidential computing features as well as debugging issues related to the same
Help debug issues within the confidential compute software stack
Participate in enabling SEV features in attestation tools such as VirTEE and third-party attestation services
Qualification
Required
Experience developing software in Rust or C/C++, Bash scripting, and Go
Familiarity with Linux and virtualization technologies such as QEMU and KVM
Exposure to the software development lifecycle, including coding, testing, and debugging
Basic understanding of operating system kernels, virtualization, and security concepts
Some experience contributing code to open-source projects or collaborating with open-source communities
Ability to work with ISVs and software partners to support software development efforts
Foundational knowledge of x86 computing architecture
Bachelors or Masters degree in electrical or computer engineering
Preferred
Exposure to OpenStack Platform (OSP) is a plus
