Responsibilities
Manage assigned equipment projects, including project planning and mechanical design
Design aerospace autoclaves and custom process systems independently
Create Bills of Material and coordinate timely material procurement
Produce design approval and fabrication drawings using 2D and 3D CAD software
Release drawings to fabrication and support the build process as needed
Collaborate closely with manufacturing and cross-functional teams
Develop and maintain project schedules and design documentation
Communicate regularly with customers regarding design, schedules, progress, installation, training, and acceptance
Serve as the project lead to ensure accurate, timely, and cost-effective purchasing, fabrication, testing, installation, and startup
Review existing designs and processes to improve performance, reliability, and cost efficiency
Demonstrate alignment with ASC’s team values, including safety, teamwork, accountability, continuous learning, and quality workmanship
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required
Must have 4 years of mechanical engineering experience
Ability to independently analyze and design custom mechanical systems using creative problem-solving
Preferred
Master's degree or Professional Engineering (PE) license a plus
Strong mechanical engineering and machine design background
Experience with thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, statics, and strength of materials
Proficient in 3D CAD; FEA/CFD experience a plus
Ability to perform mechanical and thermal analysis (stress, deflection, airflow, heat transfer, sizing)
Strong problem-solving, organization, and communication skills
Project management experience preferred
