The role involves installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting network equipment while ensuring optimal network performance and mentoring junior technicians.

Responsibilities

Installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting LTE/5G base stations, routers, switches, fiber backhaul, and DC power systems

Monitoring network health using alarms, KPIs, and testing tools—and fixing issues before customers notice

Bringing new sites and services online, including configuring routers, switches, VLANs, QoS, and basic routing

Troubleshooting RF paths, antennas, fiber, and IP connectivity using tools like spectrum analyzers, OTDRs, Wireshark, and traceroute

Responding to network events, outages, and on-call issues with clear communication and solid technical judgment

Working closely with the core network team, NOC, and vendors to resolve issues and improve performance

Keeping sites clean, documented, and operating safely

Mentoring junior technicians as you grow in the role

Qualification

LTE/5G networksIP networkingCisco routersCompTIA Network+Wireless/RAN certificationsBasic scriptingCommunication skillsProblem-solvingAdaptability

Required

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in IT, Networking, Telecommunications, Electronics—or equivalent hands-on experience

Foundational knowledge of IP networking

Valid driver's license and ability to obtain a DOT medical certificate

Ability to earn CompTIA Network+ within 6 months

Preferred

CCNA, CWNA, or wireless/RAN certifications

Experience with LTE/5G networks or vendor equipment (Nokia, Ericsson, Samsung, etc.)

Experience with Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls

Basic scripting or automation exposure (Python or Bash)
