Principal Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities
Support the mechanical design, development and analyses for the cabinets and electronics design group across various SPY-7 and Aegis programs
Apply emerging technical expertise in mechanical engineering and have applicable knowledge of other related disciplines
Support the successful design and analyses of cabinet assemblies and antennas to achieve major organizational objectives
Represent the organization as a technical contact on contracts and projects while coordinating with more senior internal or external personnel on significant technical matters
Overall design and structural and thermal analyses of electronic cabinet assemblies and antennas
Selection and use of Commercial Off the Shelf components
Custom hardware design
Setting requirements for mechanical structures
Qualification
Required
BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
Minimum 14 years of professional experience
Subject matter expert in structural analysis
Expert in ANSYS Mechanical
Expert in MATLAB
Expert in CREO
Expert leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Strong mentoring skills
Preferred
MS Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
Experienced in Ansys ICEPAK
CAM experience
