Responsibilities
A typical workday involves receiving updates on development plans from the sound engineers, modifying and constructing structures to implement concepts, setting up equipment such as microphones, and troubleshooting as necessary. This may also include running tests either with or without machine operators
During the planning and documentation phases, you will participate in meetings with design teams, most of which will be conducted via teleconference
You will be responsible for planning, setting up, executing tests, and analyzing and reporting on results and recommendations
You will assist in the design and construction of cab mockups for testing at both the Tech Center and the Proving Grounds
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering curriculum that includes dynamics labs in NVH-Noise, Vibration, Harshness AND 5-7 years of experience
Good understanding of mechanical and audio systems
Knowledge with instrumentation like microphones, accelerometers and how to apply them
Experience processing/interpreting high frequency data
Initiative
Good communication skills

Preferred
Experience with troubleshooting and fixing mechanical systems
Experience with audio concepts like intelligibility metrics, etc
Work or hobby experience with hand tools and carpentry, car audio installation, etc
