Structured Cabling Technology Apprentice

Hunt Electric, Inc. is a full-service electrical, technology, and infrastructure contractor based in Salt Lake City, UT, seeking a Structured Cabling Technology Apprentice. This role is an entry-level position aimed at developing skills in structured cabling while contributing to project delivery under the guidance of a Foreman.

Responsibilities

Effective time management skills
Understand safety principles
Demonstrate teamwork and take direction from superiors
Ability to learn how to pull cable effectively
Help execute the project within the confines of the company goals and vision in order to exceed client expectations
Ability to learn to read basic construction drawings and understand the project scope of work
Learn how to terminate and test copper network cabling
Demonstrate quality craftsmanship and always exude customer service
Actively contributes to a positive team environment
Demonstrates dependability with regular attendance and compliance to scheduled work hours
Demonstrate an aptitude for learning, goal-oriented mindset for continual growth, with a 'Can-Do' positive attitude

Required

High school diploma or equivalent
Attention to detail and accuracy
Problem assessment and problem-solving
Possess high levels of energy, creativity, and enthusiasm, and be eager to learn
Have a valid driver's license and a clean MVR
Ability to lift 50lbs
Experience working in a crew setting
Have own tools per tool list
Exposure to fiber optic systems
Good communication skills
Effective time management skills
Understand safety principles
Demonstrate teamwork and take direction from superiors
Ability to learn how to pull cable effectively
