Responsibilities

Reviews all administrative paperwork generated by staff and required by Policy and Directives
Coordinates with subordinate employees and other City staff to prioritize maintenance work assignments
Plans and directs maintenance services and requirements for preventive and corrective programs
Directs contracted projects to verify adherence to specifications
Checks work in progress and upon completion to determine the quality and timeliness of assignments
Prepares and submits assigned operating and management reports
Develops maintenance schedules and requirements for all equipment and personnel under this activity
Submits recommendations on budget requirements under his activity
Performs related duties and fulfills responsibilities as required

Required

High school diploma or GED equivalent (recognized by the Texas Education Agency or a regional accrediting agency). Additional specialized training in building operations or building maintenance highly desirable
Eight (8) years of work experience in building maintenance, including four (4) years of supervisory experience. Building maintenance experience should include skilled trades (electrical, carpentry, plumbing, etc), knowledge of mechanical and HVAC systems, and familiarity with automated systems and controls
Valid Class 'C' Texas Driver's License

Preferred

Knowledge of current City of San Antonio River Walk Division operations and flood control systems
