Responsibilities
Deliver hands-on support for laboratory testing and analysis of materials and components used in rotating electrical generators; This will require hands-on work to for sample preparation, test equipment operation, etc
Record and communicate test results, observations, and insights to Materials Engineering team
Collaborate with Materials Engineering team to support ongoing engineering projects
Qualification
Required
Associate's degree (or higher) in Engineering technology with a focus on Electrical, Mechanical, or Materials Engineering, Chemistry, Applied Physics, or closely related discipline with a strong focus on materials
Minimum of 2 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment is preferred; Candidates with more experience may be considered for advanced roles and vice versa
Demonstrated interest in materials applications for power generation equipment, particularly rotating electric machinery (generators or motors)
Ability to work independently and work together with the laboratory team
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency and expertise in hand-skills, hand-tools
Proficiency in computer use including MS-Office applications
Flexibility to work overtime or off-shift hours to support critical projects in both office and factory settings
