The Enterprise Architect is responsible for defining and evolving the organization's core IT architecture, ensuring that technology platforms are scalable, secure, and aligned with long-term IT strategy while providing architectural leadership across various domains.

Responsibilities
Own architectural design and evolution of:
Core IT services and shared technology platforms
Cloud and hybrid infrastructure platforms
High Performance Compute
Define, maintain and enforce enterprise IT architecture principles, standards, and reference designs across core platforms and infrastructure, ensuring designs are practical, scalable, and aligned with agreed standards
Approve new platform introductions and technology stack changes
Ensure consistency and long-term sustainability of the IT landscape
Review and guide technical designs across programmes, projects, and business development initiatives
Provide hands-on architectural input for complex or high-impact solutions
Embed security-by-design principles into all architectural decisions and platform designs
Ensure solutions consider resilience, availability, data protection, and operational risk from the outset
Identify opportunities to simplify platforms, reduce duplication, and improve architectural coherence
Drive platform consolidation and standardization initiatives
Support the transition from legacy solutions to modern, scalable platforms
Maintain current-state and target-state architecture views across digital estate
Lead technology due diligence and participate in strategic planning and technology investment decisions
Develop and update multi-year roadmaps for platform evolution
Produce clear, accessible documentation, reference architectures, and design patterns
Work closely with management teams to prioritize and assign initiatives, remediation, implementation, and other associated work
Work closely and collaborate with other group company technologists to ensure cohesion and standardization where appropriate
Act as a trusted technical advisor for major initiatives
Mentor and develop architectural capability across digital team(s)
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
10+ years experience in enterprise IT, technical architecture or platform environments
Experience designing systems that support near-real-time operations in performance-critical environments
Technical leadership or mentoring background
Broad and thorough knowledge of enterprise infrastructure and platform architecture
Solid understanding of cloud platforms, including public (AWS, Azure etc.), private (on and off prem) and high-performance compute
Able to both follow and encourage security-by-design principles
Preferred
Exposure to racing or elite sport environments desirable
